British and Irish Lions star George North has revealed that he was banned from watching wrestling as a child by his mother.

The 21-year-old has been likened to the professionals after picking up Australia's Israel Folau during last weekend's 16-15 defeat in Melbourne.

"I was never allowed to watch much wrestling as a kid because my mum always thought it was too violent," North wrote in the Daily Mail. "The boys are saying I should moving to America and throw some men around for a living."

The Lions and Australia sit at one Test apiece, with one more encounter left to play in the series.
