Rio de Janeiro mayor "worried" about 2016 Olympic Games

Rio de Janeiro's mayor admits that he is concerned by the changes the city will have to undergo over the next four years for the Olympic Games.

The mayor of Rio de Janeiro has admitted that he is "worried" about the infrastructural changes the city will need to undergo to host a successful Olympic Games in 2016.

However, Eduardo Paes is confident that all work will be completed in time.

"The great challenge for the city is the infrastructure, the changes you're going to do as a legacy for the city," he told BBC Sport. "So this is what worries me. But we're on time, things are going fine.

"But obviously when you do an event like that, when you transform completely your city and have a specific date to get things done obviously it's a thing that you have to worry about all the time, pay attention and follow all your dates."

Paes has been the Rio major since 2008.
