Birmingham City owner Carson Yeung found guilty of money laundering

Birmingham City owner Carson Yeung is found guilty of five counts of money laundering.

Birmingham City owner Carson Yeung has been found guilty of five counts of money laundering by a Hong Kong court.

The verdict was announced on Monday, with Judge Douglas Yau stating that Yeung was "self-contradictory" in his testimony, and that he was "making it up as he went along".

The 54-year-old businessman, who bought Birmingham in October 2009, was arrested in June 2011 and charged with the laundering of HK$720 million (£55m) between 2001 and 2007.

Yeung resigned as the Championship club's president and director in February this year.
