UEFA general secretary Gianni Infantino has admitted that yesterday's Woolwich murder has added "tension" to events surrounding the Champions League final this weekend.
Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are due to go head to head at Wembley for Europe's top trophy on Saturday, just days after a soldier was murdered in a street in Woolwich, South-East London.
"What happened yesterday, which is nothing to do with football, but it happened in London, adds maybe an additional tension to the general situation," Infantino told Sky Sports News.
"But we are in close contact with the police authorities and they know much better than we do how to deal with these matters."
The highly anticipated match is due to get underway at England's famous ground at 7.45pm.
