Barcelona star Cesc Fabregas decided against returning to Spain immediately after his side's victory over Manchester City in order to present at the Brit Awards on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old headed to the O2 Arena in London after being part of Tuesday's 2-0 win over City at the Etihad Stadium in the round-of-16 tie.
After walking onto the stage with singer Nicole Scherzinger, who is the girlfriend of Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton, Fabregas was asked to apologise for his side's win over City.
Fabregas went on to present the award for Best International Group to Daft Punk.
