Barcelona star Lionel Messi will don new Adidas multi-coloured boots for tonight's Champions League last-16 clash against Manchester City.

The Argentina international already gave a glimpse of his new adizero f50 footwear during a training session at the Etihad Stadium this week.

In photos published by the Daily Mail, the new boots are shown containing a colour scheme of blue, green, pink, white and orange, while also having the name of Messi's son Thiago stitched onto the side with the youngster's date of birth.

After tonight's encounter, Barcelona will welcome City to Camp Nou for the return leg on March 12.
