Barcelona star Lionel Messi has revealed that he plans to set up a personal Twitter account at some point this year.
Numerous footballers from around the world use the social networking website, but Messi has so far opted against joining his fellow sportsmen.
However, according to 101greatgoals.com, on Monday, Messi said: "I hope to have my own Twitter account set up later this year."
The former Ballon d'Or winner will join the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Sergio Aguero and Luis Suarez on the social media site.
Meanwhile, Messi is preparing for Argentina's clash against Iran on Saturday after scoring the winning goal in his nation's 2-1 victory over Bosnia-Herzegovina on Sunday.
