Spanish side Atletico Madrid have named Bournemouth's Dan Gonzalez as their new head groundsman at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano.
Gonzalez, who boasts Anglo-Spanish heritage, is to depart Bournemouth in the coming weeks after handing in his notice of leave.
The Cherries' Vitality Stadium home has often been credited as having one of the finest playing surfaces in the division, thanks largely to the work of Gonzalez and head groundsman Robbie Wilcox.
City rivals Real Madrid also employ a British groundsman in Paul Burgess, who has previous experience working with Arsenal during their transition from Highbury to the Emirates Stadium.
Atletico moved into their new Wanda Metropolitano home this season, suffering their first defeat there at the hands of Chelsea in the Champions League last month.
