Aston Villa secure airline deal to show own channel on flights

Aston Villa secure deals with three airlines to show official channel AVTV during flights.

Aston Villa have announced that they have struck deals with three airlines to show their own channel AVTV during flights.

All Nippon Airlines (ANA), Malaysia Airlines and Jet Airways will show a quarterly half-hour edition of Inside Aston Villa, which will include an interview with Tom Hanks and a feature on Stiliyan Petrov.

"We're delighted because this is a significant deal for Villa and AVTV," head of marketing Russell Jones told the club's official website.

"We currently have agreements with these three major airlines to provide the programme as part of their in-flight entertainment offering and this is undoubtedly big news for us.

"But we continue to try and grow the brand further. In fact, we are planning to significantly add to our current airline number over the coming weeks and months ahead."

ANA began airing the channel during their flights this month, while Malaysia Airlines and Jet Airways will carry the programme from October.
