Only one British player is worthy of a place in a European all-star XI, according to Jack Wilshere.
The Arsenal and England midfielder has selected two squads for a fantasy match between Europe and the Rest of the World.
Wilshere's choices were made on the official website of the Fans All Star Global Vote 2013.
Chelsea left-back Ashley Cole made the grade, but he was the only GB member in Wilshere's European side.
There was not even a place in the team for Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale, as France's Franck Ribery was preferred to the PFA Player of the Year.
Eden Hazard and Robin van Persie were the only Premier League stars to feature in Wilshere's European starting XI, although Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany was picked as a substitute.
Meanwhile, Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Julio Cesar, former Fulham stopper Mark Schwarzer, Chelsea midfielder Oscar and City duo Yaya Toure and Sergio Aguero were included in the Rest of the World squad.
Wilshere's European team: Manuel Neuer; Philipp Lahm, Raphael Varane, Gerard Pique, Ashley Cole; Eden Hazard, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Andres Iniesta, Franck Ribery; Robin van Persie, Cristiano Ronaldo
Subs: Iker Casillias, Vincent Kompany, Andrea Pirlo, Mario Balotelli
Wilshere's Rest of the World team: Julio Cesar; Dani Alves, Thiago Silva, Dante, Marcelo; Oscar, Javier Mascherano, Yaya Toure, Arturo Vidal; Lionel Messi, Neymar
Subs: Mark Schwarzer, David Luiz, Di Maria, Sergio Aguero
