Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger writes good-luck letter to James DeGale

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger writes a letter to British boxer James DeGale wishing him luck for this weekend's IBF super-middleweight title fight against Andre Dirrell.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has written a good-luck letter to James DeGale ahead of his world title fight against Andre Dirrell in Boston.

DeGale, who is a lifelong Arsenal supporter, received the letter during his pre-bout press conference at the home of the Boston Red Sox baseball team Fenway Park.

In the letter, Wenger wrote: "Your hard work, great spirit and determination has you in good stead and you must never underestimate or lose sight of your achievements so far.

"You have a great opportunity to make history and everyone at the club are very proud of you."

DeGale will claim the IBF super-middleweight title if he beats Dirrell on Saturday night.
