Man named after entire Leeds United team begins supporting Arsenal

A man whose parents gave him 11 names after the title-winning Leeds United team reveals that he supports Arsenal.

A man whose parents named him after an entire Leeds United team has revealed that he supports Arsenal.

The 22-year-old, who is a student at Leeds Beckett University, is called Dominic Andrew Lukic Newsome Fairclough Whyte Dorigo McAllister Batty Strachan Speed Chapman Cantona Cazaux.

Dominic's parents chose those names to honour the team that won the league title in 1992.

"My parents were mad keen Leeds United supporters when I was born," the Daily Star quotes Dominic as saying. "My parents wrote to the then manager of Leeds United Howard Wilkinson to ask him for his permission to use the names after asking the players. He wrote back and said yes.

While recalling when he decided to support Arsenal, Dominic said: "It was just one of those things you do to go against your parents. They were disappointed but they said that it was my choice. Even though I'm an Arsenal fan, I do follow Leeds and I wish them all the best."

Dominic was invited to the funeral of the late Gary Speed, who spent eight years playing for Leeds in his career.
