Napoli fans attack North London restaurant

A group of Napoli fans are accused of attacking a restaurant in North London and hospitalising a middle-aged man ahead of their Champions League match against Arsenal on Tuesday.

A group of Napoli fans have been accused of an attack on a North London restaurant which resulted in one man being taken to hospital for treatment.

Eye-witness accounts of the incident claimed that a group of around 30 people dressed in Napoli colours wrecked the Piebury Corner restaurant, located near Arsenal's Emirates Stadium, in the buildup to the Champions League meeting between the two teams on Tuesday night.

A middle-aged man was taken to hospital with head injuries, which were found not to be serious, but restaurant worker Emily Gould has told how the Italian tourists ransacked the building.

She told Sky Sports News: "Someone was head-butted, and then stools were thrown towards me so I ran.

"I grabbed the till, ran upstairs, and just checked my friends and colleagues were okay, but we did hear smashes.

"Our window's been smashed, our stools and our tables have been broken. Not only that, they frightened the staff."

Arsenal made it 10 consecutive victories in all competitions by winning the match 2-0, thanks to a first Gunners goal from Mesut Ozil and an additional strike from Olivier Giroud.
