AC Milan forward Mario Balotelli is racially abused by Fiorentina fans as he and his teammates board a train in Florence.

Mario Balotelli had to be dragged away from a confrontation with Fiorentina fans after they hurled racist insults at him.

The AC Milan striker was targeted by rival supporters while boarding a train in Florence following the Rossoneri's win over Siena yesterday evening.

The Daily Mail reports that 30 Fiorentina fans entered the station aiming racist chants at the 22-year-old and accused his teammates of stealing the match, which secured Milan a place in next season's Champions League qualifying rounds.

Witnesses claim that a scuffle broke out between Balotelli and the rival supporters, which was broken up when club officials and police waded in, delaying the team's return to Milan by almost an hour.
