Jorge Lorenzo wins Spanish MotoGP ahead of reigning champion Marc Marquez

Jorge Lorenzo leads from the front to beat reigning world champion Marc Marquez in the Spanish MotoGP at the weekend.

Jorge Lorenzo has secured his first podium finish of the season by winning the Spanish MotoGP ahead of reigning world champion Marc Marquez.

The 28-year-old led from start to finish after beginning the race from pole, while Marquez was forced to settle for second and Valentino Rossi nabbed third place.

Marquez, who has won just one race out of four so far this season, was competing just days after he underwent surgery on his finger.

By finishing third, Rossi, who has the championship lead, became the first rider to claim 200 podium finishes.
