MotoGP championship leader Dani Pedrosa was lucky to escape serious injury after crashing during practice ahead of Sunday's German Grand Prix.
The 27-year-old was thrown from his bike on the exit from the first corner at the Sachsenring, with the Spaniard immediately looking in some discomfort.
Pedrosa walked away from the incident clutching his left collarbone, but initial checks failed to show any significant damage.
The Respol Honda rider leads the championship by nine points.
