Ducati rider Chaz Davies has admitted that he hopes a successful 2015 campaign can lead to a second shot on the MotoGP grid.
Davies failed to feature among the top riders during his three races in 2007, but after an improved showing in the World Superbikes Championship, the Welshman is hoping to use it as a platform for another opportunity at the top of the sport.
The 27-year-old told motorcyclenews.com: "I would love to have another shot in the MotoGP paddock and now I am really looking at it for 2016.
"If I can have a good year with Ducati next year I would like to think it would give me a good chance to move to MotoGP with a company that is still pushing hard to try and win. They have had a tough few years but they are pushing just as hard as anybody else to improve and that would be the best option."
Davies has managed to finish on the podium on three occasions this season.
