Great Britain's Owen Livesey loses out to Portugal's Carlos Luz in the men's -81kg last 32.

Great Britain's Owen Livesey has crashed out of the men's -81kg judo after a defeat to Portugal's Carlos Luz in the last 32.

Luz won thanks to a yuko and a waza-ari, although he did receive three penalties compared to Livesey's one.

Livesey, 23, defeated Montenegro's Srdjan Mrvaljevic in the last round.

The Wigan-born judoka had won gold in the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

Luz will now go on to face Russia's Ivan Nifontov.
