Sarah Adlington secures fifth judo gold for Scotland

Scotland's Sarah Adlington defeats England's Jodie Myers to clinch Scotland's fifth judo gold medal of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Scotland's Sarah Adlington has secured the Commonwealth Games women's judo +78kg gold medal after victory over England's Jodie Myers in the final.

The 27-year-old from Shrewsbury saw off her younger opponent courtesy of a yuko, while also registering three shido, to seal a 1-0 victory.

The result means that Scotland now have five judo gold medals at their home Games thus far, after first-placed finishes for Louise Renicks, Kimberley Renicks, Sarah Clark and Euan Burton.

Burton was Scotland's flag bearer at the opening ceremony.
