Ryan Miller not resting on laurels

Ryan Miller believes that he is not guaranteed a place in the starting lineup for Team USA at the Sochi Games.

Team USA goaltender Ryan Miller has insisted that he is not taking his place in the starting lineup for granted during the Winter Olympics in Sochi.

The 33-year-old made 139 saves on 147 shots in six matches at the Vancouver Games and was named the Most Valuable Player for his performance.

"It's kind of like law firms: it doesn't guarantee any future payouts or verdicts or anything like that," Reuters quotes him as saying. "It's an experience that I will always cherish. But I can't stack it in the net behind me. It's not going to deflect pucks away."

Canada defeated the USA to win the final in 2010.
