The 23-year-old was narrowly beaten by Canada's Patricia Bezzoubenko, who has won gold in every rhythmic gymnastics event in Glasgow so far.

Wales teammate Laura Halford improved on her qualifying score with a solid routine to temporarily lead the event, but was beaten by Jones shortly after.

The duo remained the top two until Bezzoubenko performed her routine last, posting the highest score of the morning and forcing Jones to settle for silver again, while Halford picked up bronze.
