A historic World Artistic Gymnastics Championships for Great Britain continued in the women's all-around final, as Jessica Gadirova won the bronze medal in Liverpool.
The 18-year-old - who was a part of the silver-medal winning women's team from earlier in the Championships - totalled 55.199 to clinch GB's first-ever women's individual all-around medal at the World Championships.
Tokyo 2020 silver medallist Rebeca Andrade of Brazil was the favourite heading into the final, and the 23-year-old lived up to the hype to take the world title with 56.899.
American Shilese Jones scooped the silver medal with a total of 55.399 - just 0.200 clear of Gadirova, whose teammate Alice Kinsella also made a push for the podium but finished just outside the medal spots in fourth with 55.065.
Renowned for her prowess on the floor exercise, Gadirova - a two-time and reigning European champion on the apparatus - scored a whopping 14.400 for her final routine, identical to Andrade's.
The teenager had taken a small penalty on vault to post 13.833, while scores of 13.233 on the uneven bars and 13.733 on beam put her outside of the medal positions before the fourth and final rotation.
However, Gadirova's quality on floor shone through as she forced her way onto the podium, and the action continues with Jake Jarman and Joe Fraser in the men's all-around final on Friday.
