England's Jake Jarman wins the men's floor title in the artistic gymnastics at the 2022 Commonwealth Games - his third gold medal of the tournament.

England's Jake Jarman added to his ever-growing haul of international medals with gold in the artistic gymnastics men's floor final at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

The 20-year-old had already become Commonwealth champion in the team and all-around events and followed up his previous successes with a flawless routine in the individual floor final.

Jarman nailed the most difficult acrobatic elements on display, completing a double-twisting double straight somersault and a triple-twisting double tucked somersault to post a total score of 14.666.

Jarman's difficulty and execution scores were both the highest of the day, and his stellar routine pushed Canada's Felix Dolci down to the bronze medal position, with the 20-year-old 0.500 worse off than his English counterpart with 14.166.

Teammate Giarnni Regini-Moran finished with a bronze medal after scoring 13.966, and Wales' Emil Barber (13.800) ended in a very respectable fourth position.

Northern Ireland's Eamon Montgomery submitted an inquiry over his execution score which was ultimately rejected, as he finished fifth with 13.666. Scotland's Frank Baines ended up in sixth with 13.566.

It was not to be for Australia's Clay Mason Stephens and Wales' Joe Cemlyn-Jones, as both men took falls on the apparatus to end up in seventh and eighth respectively.
