Bubba Watson has insisted that there will be no repeat of his 2012 Ryder Cup crowd orchestrating at Gleneagles.
The two-time Masters champion famously invited the home fans to cheer as he teed up for the first time in Chicago two years ago and generally played the role of American cheerleader in the defeat at Medinah.
However, Watson has admitted that such "goofy" antics are only worthwhile when you have home advantage and suggested that he will attempt to let his golf do the talking when the event begins on Friday.
He told reporters: "When you're at home, you can do other things and be goofy, but when you're away, you don't want to do anything like that, even though we had some fun a couple years ago with getting the crowd revved up."
"I'm just here to play golf, make some putts," he added.
Watson has a 50% record in Ryder Cups, having won 5.5 points for the USA over the course of 11 matches.
