Britain's Luke Donald says that a even-par score is pretty good after the first two rounds at the US Open.

Luke Donald has said that he is happy with his score after the first two rounds of the US Open.

The British golfer is the clubhouse leader, having finished two-over-par on day two, leaving him on even par overall.

"Controlling that spin is tough and it's hard to make a lot of birdies so I'm happy to have made my share over the last two days," BBC Sport quotes the 35-year-old as saying.

"Anything around par is pretty good and US Opens don't tend to get easier as the week goes on, it's a grind out there."

Sports Mole has live coverage from the second round at Merion Golf Club.
