Jyoti Randhawa takes first-round lead at Hong Kong Open

Jyoti Randhawa has a one-shot lead after the first round of the Hong Kong Open, while defending champion Miguel Angel Jimenez sits two-over-par.

India's Jyoti Randhawa has taken a one-shot lead at the Hong Kong Open following a first-round 64 in Fanling.

Despite hitting a first-hole bogey, the 42-year-old ended the round six-under following seven birdies, five of which came on the back nine.

Angelo Que of the Philippines is the closest challenger to Randhawa after hitting a five-under 65, while nine golfers, including Nicolas Colsaerts and Ernie Els, sit two shots off the pace.

Defending champion Miguel Angel Jimenez only mustered one birdie during his opening round, and three bogeys left him two-over-par in Hong Kong.
