Pablo Larrazabal breaks course record to lead KLM Open

Spain's Pablo Larrazbal breaks the course record to take a two-shot lead at the end of the second day at the KLM Open.

Pablo Larrazabal has broken the course record at the Kennemer Golf & Country Club to take the lead after the second round at the KLM Open.

The Spaniard finished the round eight-under-par, leaving him 10-under for the tournament, two shots clear of Romain Wattel and Edoardo Molinari.

Larrazabal hit birdies on his first six holes on his way to a round of 62, one stroke better than the previous course record.

Defending champion Joost Luiten, who had led after the first day, completed an even-par round on the second day of the competition, leaving him five shots back in seventh.

Wattel climbed up to second with a round of 65, while Molianari completed the round in 66 shots, leaving him level with the Frenchman.
