Great Britain golfer Justin Rose becomes the first player in history to record a hole in one at the Olympics.

Great Britain golfer Justin Rose has become the first player in history to record a hole in one at the Olympic Games.

The Englishman was one-under-par in the first round of the men's tournament in Rio when he came to the par-three fourth and hit a tee shot which flew 191 yards to land in the cup.

Rose's shot bumped him up to three-under in the first Olympic golf tournament since 1904, one ahead of Team GB compatriot Danny Willett.

The 2013 US Open champion, 36, is one of the few top golfers competing at the Marapendi Natural Reserve, with several pulling out over Zika virus fears.
