Justin Rose has admitted that he and Ian Poulter "won ugly" in their foursomes match against Webb Simpson and Bubba Watson.
The European duo secured a one-up victory on the 18th green when Simpson missed a tricky putt for a birdie.
"We won ugly," Rose told BBC Sport. "That was a good point. We didn't have our best out there but we won."
Rose is currently partnering Francesco Molinari in the afternoon fourballs, where they are two down to Watson and Simpson.
