Adam Scott takes three-shot lead at Arnold Palmer Invitational

Adam Scott is three shots clear at the top of the leaderboard after the third round of action at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Florida.

Adam Scott will head into the fourth and final round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Florida with a three-shot lead.

The 33-year-old Australian hit a one-under 71 at Bay Hill in the third round on Saturday.

Scott started the day with a seven-shot advantage over the other competitors, but he saw that lead reduced to a single stroke after he played the first five holes in two over.

However, the 2013 Masters champion staged a fightback thereafter to increase his lead to five shots with two holes remaining.

Keegan Bradley eventually reduced that to three after carding a six-under 66.

Matt Every moved himself to third place on the leaderboard with the same score, a shot further off the 27-year-old American, and tied with Jason Kokrak.
