Justin Rose fires 66 to win Zurich Classic of New Orleans

Justin Rose wins the Zurich Classic of New Orleans by one shot from Cameron Tringale.

Justin Rose has picked up his eighth PGA Tour win with victory at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

The former US Open champion produced a final round of 66 in Louisiana to triumph by one shot from American Cameron Tringale.

Rose started his final day in promising fashion with birdies at the fourth, seventh and eighth holes to reach the turn in 33.

The Ryder Cup star then picked up a further stroke at 13 before birdieing the final two holes to set a clubhouse target of 22-under par.

Tringale still had the opportunity to try to force at least a playoff, with holes left on his round.

However, a bogey at 13 cost the 27-year-old, who only picked up one birdie in the final five holes to finish second.
