Rory McIlroy admits to Korea Open "struggle"

Rory McIlroy admits that he has struggled at the Korea Open after a four-over par third-round 75 left the 24-year-old with little chance of winning the competition.

A four-over par third-round 75 by Rory McIlroy has left the Northern Irishman with little chance of winning the Korea Open.

The 24-year-old went into day two just two shots off the lead, but missed a host of chances on the front nine and his poor form continued after the turn.

"The story of the day is that I missed a lot of putts, missed a lot of chances for birdies at the start of the round and then missed a few short ones for pars in the middle and end of the round," McIlroy told BBC Sport.

"It is a struggle, especially where they've put some of the pin positions. It is tough to get yourself to commit to a certain line because you will hit a few and they will go through the break, and some turn more than others."

Kim Hyung-tae takes a four-shot lead into the final day of the competition.
