Mikael Lundberg takes Lyoness Open lead after round two

Mikael Lundberg takes a one-shot lead at the Lyoness Open after the second round.

Mikael Lundberg has emerged as the sole leader at the Lyoness Open after ending the second round nine-under 68 in Austria.

The 40-year-old hit four birdies in a row on the front nine to take a one-shot lead heading into the third round, with Englishman Lee Slattery in second place.

The Brit secured a new course record by hitting five birdies and an eagle to keep himself in contention for the title with two rounds left to play.

Adam Gee, who ended the opening round as joint leader, fell down to tied seventh after dropping five shots to finish the day on four-under 73.

It was a poor day for Miguel Angel Jimenez as he finished the round one-over par after hitting three double bogeys, two of which came in quick succession on the 10th and 11th holes.
