It is a first win on the European Tour for the Frenchman, whose three-under-par round of 69 was enough to finish ahead of Donaldson, who fired a nine-under round of the day.

Dubuisson headed down the par-five 18th needing just a par but went one better with a birdie to guarantee victory.

Donaldson finished second all on his own, with Tiger Woods (67) and Justin Rose (65) two shots further back in joint-third place. Ian Poulter (69) and Raphael Jacquelin (68) shared fifth place.

Dubuisson's victory guarantees him a place at next week's season-ending DP World Tour Championship in Dubai, where the top 60 golfers over the year on the European Tour will battle.
