Tiger Woods leads by six shots at the Farmers Insurance Open, as the final round of action on Sunday is suspended due to bad weather.

Tiger Woods has increased his lead to six shots at the Farmers Insurance Open with 11 holes remaining in the final round.

Play at the Torrey Pines course was suspended on Sunday due to bad light, but not before the former world number one put himself in a good position to clinch his 75th PGA Tour victory.

Woods birdied three of his first seven holes to move to 17-under overall in the fourth round, with fellow American Nick Watney tied on second spot with defending champion Brandt Snedeker at 11-under.

"I played well today," Woods told reporters. "Overall, I'm very pleased that I was able to build on my lead. As of right now, I've got a six-shot lead, so that's a positive.

"I've got to continue with executing my game plan. That's the idea. I've got 11 holes to play, and I've got to go out there and play them well."

The final round will continue on Monday.
