Simon Dyson has claimed victory in the Irish Open at Killarney.

The Englishman was involved in a close battle with Australian Richard Green whose final hole bogey allowed Dyson to claim a one-shot win, ending the day on a four-under par 67 and top the leaderboard on 15-under.

"It's amazing, it really is," said Dyson. "I was just so focused all day I never really gave it a thought. Hitting the two shots on the last that I did I couldn't have played it any better.

"Ireland's always been one of my favourite places to come to but I've never really done any good in the tournaments so I'm glad to put that to bed."
