Brett Rumford is on course to win a second-straight European Tour title thanks to a three-under-par third round that saw him take the lead at the Volvo China Open.
Aussie Rumford, who made eagle on the first playoff hole to win last week's Ballantine's Championship in South Korea, is one clear of overnight leader Mikko Ilonen of Finland heading into the final day at Binhai Lake, Tianjin.
Ilonen took a three-shot lead into the penultimate round but shot a one-over 73 to drop into second place, with Spain's Pablo Larrazabal a further shot back on 10-under.
The biggest mover on day three was Victor Dubuisson. The Frenchman fired a six-under 66 to move to seven-under for the tournament, five adrift of Rumford's lead.
