First round of Nelson Mandela Championship postponed

The first round of the Nelson Mandela Championship is postponed until tomorrow due to a waterlogged course.

The opening day of the Nelson Mandela Championship in Durban has been put back to tomorrow due to a waterlogged course.

The first round of the tournament was scheduled to begin today but the Royal Durban Golf Club were forced to postpone after heavy rain made the course unplayable.

Challenge Tour Number One Espen Kofstad will start the tournament by hitting the opening tee shot on Friday morning.

The competition in Durban will mark the start of the 2013 Race to Dubai.
