World number four Phil Mickelson has announced that he will compete in the Abu Dhabi Championship next season for the first time since 2011.
The British Open winner recently stated that he would be making cuts to his schedule, but has added the competition to the list.
"To play Abu Dhabi in the early part of the year is a great opportunity," Mickelson said in a statement. "I've wanted to return since my first time there in 2011.
"The golf course and facilities are outstanding and the quality of the field and the good weather make it a great place to start my season."
Mickelson will join the likes of Rory McIlroy, Luke Donald and Justin Rose in the competition.
