Rory McIlroy has said that he believes that he has made progress to hopefully turn around his form in time for his home tournament, the Irish Open.
His recent poor form has meant he has only made the cut once in his last five attempts, but the Northern Irishman believes he can overturn this in front of his home crowd.
McIlroy told Sky Sports: "I feel like I've made a lot of progress and I'm really looking forward to this week and hopefully giving myself a chance to win [the Irish Open].
"I'm feeling good and had some really good practice over the last 10 days and my game feels in really good shape."
The Irish Open begins at Royal Portrush on Thursday.
