Graeme McDowell has revealed that he will take a 10-week break following this week's World Challenge in California.

The Northern Irishman is changing his schedule to accommodate a revamp to the end of the European Tour season.

"These next 10 weeks are going to be very important to me to recharge and refocus and reset because I know I'm in a good place, both on and off the course, and I feel very positive about next season," said the 33-year-old.

McDowell currently has a three-shot lead at the World Challenge in Thousand Oaks.
