Brooks Koepka surges to a 4&3 victory over rival Bryson Dechambeau in 'The Match', staged in Las Vegas.

Brooks Koepka has gained the bragging rights in his rivalry with Bryson Dechambeau, beating his fellow American 4&3 in 'The Match'.

While the pair are said to have cleared the air during their time on the United States Ryder Cup team, neither player would have wanted to lose the 12-hole challenge in Las Vegas.

Koepka established an early advantage at the second hole with a 10-foot putt, and he went two up after five when Dechambeau failed to make a birdie at the 591-yard par five.

The input of Phil Mickelson and Charles Barkley, acting as commentators for the contest, gave a lighthearted feel to proceedings, but Koepka was ruthless in moving three up after six with an 11-foot birdie.

Having missed an opportunity on hole seven, Dechambeau went further behind on the eighth, and he conceded the match on the ninth after failing to hole a birdie putt with Koepka approximately 10 feet away.
