Luke Donald finishes with a birdie to take a two-stroke lead heading into the final round tomorrow.

Luke Donald holds a two-shot lead heading into the final round of his defence of the BMW Championship at Wentworth.

The world number two, who knows that a top-eight finish will see him rise back to the top of the rankings, clubbed a 69 to leave himself on 11-under for the championship, with Justin Rose leading the chase on 9-under.

Overnight leader James Morrison shot 81 and now finds himself eight strokes off the pace.

Ireland's Peter Lawrie finished with three birdies, which sees him on seven-under and Ernie Els will resume on five-under at the course he has helped design.
