Danny Willett has admitted that it is "crazy" to be able to call himself the Masters champion.
The Englishman, on level-par, was not considered to be among the frontrunners for top spot at the start of the final round.
However, five birdies and a dramatic collapse from defending champion Jordan Spieth handed the title to the 28-year-old from Sheffield.
"It has been crazy. I can't really describe the emotions and feelings. Someone has got to win and fortunately today it was me," he said during his green jacket presentation.
"It was tough Jordan kept pulling ahead and I had to dig in and dig in. I thought we needed to get to six or seven. It was a surreal day with ebbs and flows. I was fortunate that the shots we hit were correct and I holed putts when I needed to."
Willett is the first player from England to win the tournament since Nick Faldo in 1996.
