Bubba Watson hoping experience pays off

Bubba Watson hopes that his previous experience in the Masters will provide him with the edge necessary to win the tournament for a second time.

Bubba Watson is hopeful that his previous experience in the Masters will provide him with the edge necessary to win the tournament for a second time.

The 35-year-old is set to go into the final day in Augusta tied for the lead with rookie Jordan Speith on five under, one stroke ahead of Matt Kuchar and Jonas Blixt respectively.

However, Watson, who won the Green Jacket in 2012, believes that is he less susceptible to the pressure as a result of his victory two years ago.

He told reporters: "I was pumped up, my shots were going further than I was expecting them to, and the greens got firmer, harder and made it difficult.

"I know what it takes, the pressure will get to everybody but knowing that I've done it one time will help a little bit."

Miguel Angel Jimenez and Rickie Fowler are also in contention for the Major, with both further back on three under heading into day four.
