Lewis Hamilton was fastest in the final practice session ahead of the Australian Grand Prix.
The 27-year-old McLaren driver's lap of 25.681 seconds remained a second slower than the fastest lap of last year's race, which was posted by world champion Sebastian Vettel.
Lotus Renault were second-fastest with Romain Grosjean, who was just 0.077 seconds behind the Briton.
Red Bull star Vettel, along with Mercedes' Michael Schumacher, had a less than glamorous end to the session, as both drivers ended up in the gravel.
No damage was done to either car.
