Nico Rosberg tops standings in third practice

Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg edges out Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton in the third practice session ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix.

Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg has recorded the fastest time in the third and final practice session ahead of Sunday's Spanish Grand Prix.

The German edged out Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel and teammate Lewis Hamilton, who spun his car midway through the session after completing the first corner at the Barcelona circuit.

Williams driver Valtteri Bottas was in fourth place, closely followed by Kimi Raikkonen and Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo.

Jenson Button, who ended yesterday's second session in an encouraging seventh spot, was 11th with McLaren teammate Fernando Alonso three places further back in 14th position.
