Lewis Hamilton fastest in second practice for Russian Grand Prix

Mercedes driver and championship leader Lewis Hamilton records the fastest time in the second practice session ahead of Sunday's Russian Grand Prix.

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton has topped the standings in the second practice session ahead of the Russian Grand Prix.

Hamilton, who leads teammate Nico Rosberg by 10 points in the drivers' standings, finished almost a second quicker than McLaren's Kevin Magnussen and Ferrari's Fernando Alonso.

Rosberg, who was the quickest round the track this morning, was in fourth place, with Williams driver Valtteri Bottas close behind in fifth and Jenson Button ending the session in sixth position.

Red Bull endured a disappointing afternoon in Sochi as Sebastian Vettel finished in ninth, while Daniel Ricciardo was back in 13th place.
