Lewis Hamilton produces comfortable win at Spa, Nico Rosberg finishes second

Lewis Hamilton wins his second Belgian Grand Prix to gain a 28-point lead over Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg.

Hamilton started the race in pole position and led from the front throughout at Spa, with Rosberg fighting his way to the podium after slipping to fifth place at the start of the race, as Mercedes recorded their first Belgian Grand Prix win.

Sebastian Vettel began the day in ninth, and with 29 laps remaining his team made the bold decision to refuse the German a second pit-stop, forcing him to complete the race on the same set of medium tyres.

The move appeared to have worked, as Vettel worked his way up to third with just one lap remaining, but under pressure from Grosjean, his right-rear tyre deflated and the German slipped down to 12th.

Red Bull's Daniil Kyvat produced one of the most impressive performances of the day - having started in 12th, the Russian surged past opponents to finish in sixth place.

Belgian Max Verstappen gave the home crowds an exciting finale, as the Toro Rosso driver pushed Kimi Raikkonen on the final lap to take seventh, only for the experienced Finn to hold off the challenge.

Hamilton now leads Rosberg by 28 points in the Drivers' Championship.
