Nico Rosberg has suggested that Ferrari are unlikely to compete for the 2015 world title, despite signing Sebastian Vettel during the winter.
The Mercedes driver, who finished runner-up to teammate Lewis Hamilton in the drivers' championship last season, has predicted that Williams and Red Bull will again be the closest rivals for the Silver Arrows.
However, Rosberg has predicted that Ferrari will continue to struggle again in the forthcoming campaign.
He told Bild: "I don't want to appear arrogant, but if I go by the 2014 results I can risk it all and say no to a Ferrari challenge, although one should never fully write them off.
"Sebastian will see my tail lights on many occasions."
The 2015 season starts in Melbourne on March 15.
